Strange Fruit

We expected some form of retaliation upon report a bad Walmart, but we never expected one that have us laughing out loud.See photoes below. Remind you of anything.

In addition, check out the meaning and different form of retaliation used to victimize people unjustly.

Retaliation is defined as an act of revenge or the return of evil for evil, typically involving adverse conduct taken against a person for engaging in activity protected by law.  In the workplace context, it occurs when an employer or supervisor punishes an employee for engaging in protected activities, such as filing a discrimination complaint, reporting safety violations, or requesting legally mandated leave.

Common forms of workplace retaliation include termination, demotion, reduced hours, negative performance reviews, exclusion from meetings, and micromanagement.  Federal laws enforced by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Department of Labor (DOL) strictly prohibit such actions, recognizing that retaliation can have a negative impact on employee morale and deter others from exercising their rights.

To prove a retaliation claim, an employee generally must establish three key elements: they engaged in a protected activity, suffered a materially adverse action, and there is a causal connection between the two.  Legal precedents indicate that the adverse action need not alter the terms of employment but must be serious enough to dissuade a reasonable worker from making or supporting a discrimination charge.

Although, we are not employees of Walmart we do have these for protect when an store employee retaliation agaist a customer for reporting him or her.

Federal employment retaliation laws do not protect customers from store employee harassment or retaliation, as these statutes (such as Title VII and the ADA) are designed to shield employees who engage in protected activities like filing discrimination complaints.

However, customers harassed by store staff may have legal recourse under different frameworks:

Civil Rights and Discrimination Laws: Federal civil rights laws prohibit discrimination in places of public accommodation based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, and many state laws provide broader protections for characteristics like age, disability, or sexual orientation.

Consumer Protection and Tort Law: Customers can pursue claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, or assault, particularly if the harassment involves threats, physical contact, or repeated intimidation.

Criminal Remedies: Conduct involving stalking, threats, or physical assault may be prosecuted as criminal offenses, requiring police involvement and formal charges.

For now we consider this a Walmart problem. They really need to select better employees. However, this harassment conyinue .. we know our rights.

And, let me make this clear, these incidents are unprovoked by my husband and myself, neither have we ever been inside of this Walmart. We just place order online. We do not know who this Walmart attacker is; yet we do believe that there is a garbage mouth going around lying about us, but at same, we believe that Walmart employees should know not to get involve when trash comes whispering in their ears.
